Cork Film Festival


Cork Film Festival is held every year in Cork in November this year it will be taking place between the 7th - 14th November. The Cork Film festival is held in several cinemas around Cork. They also have a "drive in" option to watch from you car and is tuned into your radio. A popular choice in the past year was Rocky great to watch on the extra big screen!

Cork Newspapers

Cork newspapers whats your favourite?! The two oldest and most popular by far are the The Examiner once none as The Cork Examiner and the Evening Echo that you hear been shouted daily around the streets of Cork "Echo - Get your Echo" an old tradition still going strong!

Cork Opera House


Cork Opera House is nice to visit as a Cork landmark but with many shows there nightly it's not somewhere you should miss if in Cork. Such shows include musicals,comedy,concerts and not forgetting the annual pantomime at christmas. It is now also home to the new cork shopping district Opera Lane!

University College Cork a place everybody should see if you dont study there! You must admit its a beautiful place with lovely gardens, stunning buildings and the magnificent Honan Chapel! Students come in their thousands every year from all over the country and beyond! If you get a chance its definintely worth a visit. To check it out click here

Cork Hurling/Cork Football


Gaa is a major sport in Cork! I believe the Cork hurlers have more of a following but in saying that Cork footballers did make it to an all Ireland final last year! Either way - C'mon the rebels!
